Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my goals.

I am full-time student (male, 24 years old) and have been overweight for around 4 years. Prior to this I was healthy, active and weighed in at around 180lbs. However, I gained weight fairly rapidly and in the last two years I have weighed between 270-290lbs.

A few months ago I decided I needed to do something about my ill-health and stopped smoking (8 weeks ago) and then decided to stop drinking as well (2 days ago!).

Now that I am persuing a healthier lifestyle I feel I should finally do something about my weight and lack of fitness - which is why I am here!

I will start a blog to record my diet and training schedule and I really hope that some of you will follow my progress!!

I am looking forward to meeting everyone here and wish you all the best :)
