Hi,
Well done for starting again!

I keep posting on here but noone ever seems to reply...

I have done 2 days on ss+, but last night my headache was so bad that i gave in and had a sandwich! I'm not sure now whether to think stuff it and find something else, another diet or to get back on. Do the headaches and dizzy feelings go, or do they stay? Did the diet just notsuit my body or did i not give it time?

stay with it, they do go usually after the 2nd or 3rd day. keep drinking water that should help. Once your in ketosis you will feel fantastic. Keep going it will all be worth it. Give it a few more days.

You can take tablets for your headache..... well she told me I could if I needed to anyway!

I did take tablets, but last night itfelt like the worst hangover i had ever had!! i feel great this morning though i have to say, i don't know if it is the diet and the bread last night didn't affect me of if it is thefact that i had bread, can't decide!! I don't know whether to get back into it or not. The other thing that was worrying me was that i felt like i stank, my oh said i smelt poorly, but i think he was being supportive to me at that. Does the smell ease off or is it there for good??

Hi cw 249 there is no doubt this diet has some strange affects on the body, in my experience if one can do 3 -4 days it all seems to settle down, you will lose weight very quickly and have an overwhelming feeling of energy and wellbeing. I am not painting it all rosie, but in general I feel it has more positives than negatives.

A lot of the 'detox' feelings we have at the beginning is because of all the rubbish we eat, hence the hangover feeling.

My advice is stick to it for 2 or 3 weeks and then assess the situation. Give it a big crack of the whip... and good luck xxxx

Hi there,

Yes I agree that you need to give it a bit more time, I suffered bad headaches for about 4-5 days so the first week was pretty miserable. I had plenty of detox side effects i.e breakout of spots, horrible taste in mouth etc but after the first 2 weeks things were much better.

If you can get past the first 2 weeks and put up with everything then it will be MUCH easier, just keep thinking I just need to get past the next hour and then the next day, step by step. After the first weigh in you will be really motivated to keep going, unfortunately after each slip up it will probably be harder to get back onto ss.

I was on my second day of restarting SS yesterday too. I had a really bad headache as well, it was so bad it felt like I couldn't even move my neck. I had the same thing on day 2 last time I did SS.

I feel OK today so hopefully that's the worst bit of the restart over with!

This is why my CDC advised me to cut down on carbs etc before starting the diet as you will not be hit hard by the "detox" side of things. I had a slight headache when I went through Ketosis for 2 days but was ok...
Personally, I would stick with it as the results really are worth it :)

I am on day eight and still feeling fatigued. I'm still waiting to start feeing energetic. Truthfully, I felt better on days one and two.
