help with Avatars

Hello all.
Im new here and i love it!
However i'm having problems getting an avatar on my profile. I managed the signature but when i try to upload na avater it says unknown url. i have 31 posts so have the entitlement. any advice please.

im using an ipad, is that the problem?

It does say something on the FAQ about problems if using an ipad because it doesn't have the same way of uploading or something
