You're not supposed to, but it works. I'm on LT during the day at work, and a light meal at night. I continued to lose 1 - 2lb a week at first, then maintained. I'm not ready to go back to proper eating, I want my body to get used to being this new weight...
Sounds very much like the plan I want to follow, difficulty will be in convincing the pharm to let me carry on having LT - or do you think it best to use the maintenance products??
