    Hi all

    Last week i did the cambridge diet and lost 6llb this week i have done atkins to the T and have been in ketosis every day, however I have staed the same weight I find this to be strange as although I have not lost any weight I have dropped a size in clothes, has anybody any ideas as to why this might be, as I am feeling disheartened I want to do atkins as i love it i am making some lovely recipies especially curries which I love and I dont really want to change the diet

    your obviousley doing something right. if youve dropped a dress size it is more likely that youve lost inches of your body rather than on the scales. i would measure yourself and weigh yourself everyweek.

    i didnt lose anything on the scale recently, but im now in a size down also.

    hi,

    you've gone from just shakes to eating food!, you're body is adjusting to receving food again, the fact that you've not gained weight (brilliant, some wouldve gained a couple of pounds due to the change) and the fact you have lost a dress size is working for you, as long as you stay at under 20g of carbs you will lose lbs and inches, carry on your great work.

    thanx for ur replys i feel more motivated now, as for the curries this is what i use

    chicken/beef
    few mushrooms
    half onion
    i tsp madras curry pwder
    1 tsp chilli powder
    1 tsp gram samala
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1tbsp olive oil
    1tbsp tomato puree
    1 tbsp marigold boulion
    3 tbsp double cream

    fry off meat onion all spices. add measure boiled water then bouilion and tomato puree also mushrooms simmer untill cooked last 5 mins add the cream, i serve with beansprouts or green beans in butter yummy!!!!!!!

    Hi,
    I too have been really good on Atkins, and despite losing good weight before, i haver not lost a single lb in nearly 3 weeks.
    But i have noticed clothes getting bigger, so just wait it out, i`m sure the weight will have to drop soon.
    I know how disheartening it is.

    Hi

    its weird isnt it how can u lose inches and no weight u must lose fat to get smaller but if no weight lost the fat must still be there so how come the clothes gettin bigger lol
