    Hello,

    Ok so a little about me, I'm 29 and I've had weight issues for a long time. As a child and in my teens I was overweight but nothing major, I lost 5 stone in 2003 and felt great! But the last three years have been tough, job loss, family death and money problems have caused me to over eat in a big way. I put on a lot of weight very quickly and in Janurary this year my weight was 21 stone and 1lb.
    I had planned to lose weight as I do every day or week or news years day but I had been having a few health issues like I was tired all the time, was weeing a lot and had extremely dry eyes. And after a blood test and a visit to the docs I was told that I had type 2 diabetes.

    I was so ashamed, I had done this to myself. I gave myself this diesese just by sitting on my butt eating anything and everything.

    So from that day I have completly changed my eating habits and have lost 2 stone 3lbs. Which I am very happy about but I've started to struggle a bit now. I've been eating rubbish again for the last five days, not all day but I've had takeaways, chocolate, crisps and I feel it spiralling out of control again. I can't seem to remember that not only am I trying to lose weight I'm also trying to control my diabetes but it just hasn't stuck.

    I just don't know what to do, its so hard doing it on my own and I have 7 and a half stone to lose! It feels impossible.
    I'm sorry to vent my frustration to you, but I just wanted to talk to people who have similer issues to me!

    your in the right place, I only started again about a week ago but the ladies here are a good bunch, kind and supportive

    You sound like you have had a pretty rough time of it. But you have proved you can do it before, It just getting outta that rut, but a few good days and you will be back and losing again.

    Thanks for your reply. I know I can do it, I think I'm just getting a bit bored to be honest! You're so right the people on here seem great and supportive and I think I need that seeing as I'm doing it on my own.
    Well done on your weightloss so far, what diet are you following?

    I know your pain lol. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. It goes up and down all the time. I'm hoping this is the time it'll stick but i wouldnt be surprised if its a lifelong struggle haha

    While off uni i follow slim fast. But i get too tired during term time to do it, need food, so calorie count during term. Slim fadt is actually really cool. Helps me understand hunger and greed!

    Hi, thank you all for replying.

    Roziee, I am calorie counting, its going ok I use myfitnesspal to keep track of everything I eat, which is great because I know what I've eaten and how many calories I have left.
    I'm back on track from today, I weighed myself this morning and I'm 18stone 13lb meaning I've put on two lbs in five days but its a blip and I will move on and carry on.

    Hi Hannah - and big hugs, I've been through some personal stuff lately and I know - like everyone else here - just how easy it can be to eat bad stuff when you've got lots going on! Like you say, it was a blip - they happen - and now you're back in focus again, so well done.

    I'm like you too in that I get bored easily, and then move on to the next "great" diet :eek:, so I will depend on you to keep me on the straight and narrow - and I'll do the same for you! :)

    Hi Hannah
    I too have days where I just eat junkfood, sometimes for every meal :(
    I just get bored and frustrated with food options or the same thing as I can be fussy with food. But we are all here to achieve the same goals and thay is to lose weight to be healthier and slimmer than we are now.

    Hello everyone,

    Wow its been three weeks since I last logged on, I've been so busy with work.
    I will admit things are not going well, I've lost the two pounds I put on three weeks ago but that's it, I have just found it really hard to stick to my plan. I don't know why, but anyway I am back on it 100% from today. I need to keep reminding myself that I am not only doing this to look better I am doing it for my health.

    I would like to start trying for a baby by the end of the year and I need to make sure I am in the best health before I start.

    Sorry for the whinge.
    I hope you are all doing great and enjoying the bank holiday!

    Welcome back Hannah. Glad you are back on plan. It is hard to stick to plan religiously when working. I find it hard and want to give up myself when I see sts or a gain on the scales. Just hang in there. It took a loooong time to get where are today, it doesn't mean it will take that long losing it!

    A loss is still a loss - however it was put on. Don't beat yourself up or you won't want to continue :) you can do it! What a wonderful goal to work to! good luck xx

    Thank you for the replies. I have been back on track since I posted and have lost two pounds, which is probably just water wright from all the rubbish I've eaten but I'm just glad im back on it. I feel rubbish today though really fluey and pants. Never mind. I worked it out today that I have 7 stone 1 pounds to lose to get to my ideal healthy weight, its not as much as I thought and has made me feel like its achievable now and i'll do it this time. I can't go back up, ive wasted so much of my life being too big I need to do it now.

    How is everyone else doing? Have you all had a good day?
