Hi, I'm about to start Slimming world on Wednesday, I went 9 years ago and lost weight before my wedding, but having just had my last baby 3 weeks ago I'm at my biggest ever and need to lose weight, I was 13 stone exactly about 1hr after delivery (scales in the hospital bathroom- I couldn't resist as I don't own a set) I'm not sure what I weigh now.

I want to lose 1lb per week so that I'm at a nice weight by my baby's 1st birthday and I don't feel like a frumpy mam on my 10th wedding anniversary.

I wasn't sure if slimming world or weight watchers was better so any comments on that would be great.

Hi and welcome. Congratulations on the birth of your baby. As long as you stick to it either WW or SW will work.

Are you thinking of going to a class? That could influence your decision. Time and place of class is important especially with the baby.

Where in the north east are you?

I'm not far from Middlesbrough, class is not a problem WW do a morning one and SW do a 6.45pm one about 5 minutes from home.

advantage of sw is that my mam will come with me.

Hubby will put older kids to bed so not worried about them and as baby is breastfed he will just come along with me, I've spoken to group leader and she is fine with it.

WW older two are at school, friend already goes as do some mothers from the school.

So either is ok, I just need a scheme that I can stick to
