    hi all!

just wondering if anyone has any tips for how to make your packs as lump free as possible- moreso the soups than the shakes! i would use my blender but it is a NIGHTMARE to clean and i don't want to have to do this 8x a day (me and oh both on cd).

    thanks xx

Most people use a hand blender they dont cost much and with mine i am able to unscrew the end so that i can wash it easily after every shake/soup. Think mine was from tesco about £7. :)

I use a stick blender and it's really easy to rinse off afterwards. Make OH have the same flavours as you and have them at the same time and it will only be 4 times, lol;)

Hand blender all the way. Good for getting some froth into your shakes when making mousse, if you angle it right (but not too far, otherwise you end up wearing it...)

Ooh, this helps: add a little bit of the water first and stir it into a paste with a fork first, then add the rest of the water. It seemed to help!

Hey Colly.. don't forget your ice with the shakes, makes a huge difference. I could not get on with the soups either.. but did manage to get the consitency in the end and hot too.. try mixing to a paste with a little of the hot water, then gradually add the rest mixing as you go.. the trick is to keep it thick not to add to much as it gets too thin and more like stock.. add fresh chopped herbs to it too and spices, like chilli flakes :)

I use a hand blender at home and a whisk at work, must say it is harder work with the whisk but good for my bingo wings ;)

Hand blender all the way for lump free smooth shakes...you just can't get the lumps out with the shaker cup alone. I am on my second hand blender already as I wore the first one out....I got mine from Asda it was about £6. I have now just bought a smoothie to go machine...it is great comes with 2 cups that screw directly onto the machine and you can drink it straight from the cup so you only need to wash the cup and the blade easy as 123!!!
