Hobnob style biscuits (syn free using HEB or 6syns)

I made these this morning and they were really nice...are they supposed to go crispy all the way through though or are they a softer biscuit? Maybe I didn't leave them in long enough as they were soft in the middle xx
Depends how long there in for. I tend to flatten the mixture when placing on the baking tray. Sometimes leave them in a lot longer and they go more golden and hard which I enjoy. Never burnt any yet so don't worry if leave in longer.xx
I'm looking forward to trying these!! Resisted the cakes at the coffee morning yest. So hankering after something sweet :)

These sound great, I'm definitely going to give them a try. Has anyone tried them with ginger?

Ooh I haven't but I bet its tasty! Let me know how it goes?
Had a low carb week but look forward to making these next wk now I have non stale porridge oats lol x

Funnily enough I bought some ground ginger yesterday to try making ginger biscuits! I don't know how much to add though. I've tried them with almond extract in and they were lovely xx

Think I'll have a play about with spices etc tomorrow. Some orange extract and maybe some finely grated zest might work with it too, or might sin a spoonful of honey and play around with sweetener...watch this space x

I've done lemon ones which were nice. Almond. And vanilla. It's great as so many different styles to do. I did make some chocolate ones with options but never got to have any of them!! Lol. Xx

Just bought some flavourings off amazon to try...banana, coconut, raspberry, black cherry, strawberry, sticky toffee pudding and one I can't remember. They were in a set mostly, and they're supposed to be quite strong, so hopefully won't need much :)

I tried it with the banana and it was FAB!! Loved them and so did hubby!

Worked out at a syn each

Did you still add the egg? Or was it just banana, oats and sweetener? I might try adding some raisins as well (or some chocolate chips if I'm feeling naughty! ;)) xx

Ooh I forgot about these- I have some over ripe bananas I could use! Did you put the egg in too?
I bet its yummy with the sultanas x

Yep, I put the egg in too. And no raisins but I added some vanilla essence. Next time I'll try with banana and cinnamon.

They were soooo tasty :)

Glad your all liking them!! I really enjoy cinnamon ones :)

Lemon essences ones are good too x

Okay I was messing about in the kitchen when I came up with these mini biscuits. So thought I'd share since a few have tired and loved. They also went down a treat at taster night.... You need- 35g porridge oats (healthy extra b) 1 egg 4tbsp sweetener Optional depending what flavour you wish to go for... Either - 1tsp of cinnamon, 1tsp vanilla extract or any other flavoring you wish to add. Mix all together, put in the oven on 190' for 20-30mins depending how many biscuits you make. I made 12 mini ones for taster (just under a tsp of mixture for each) and they were ready in 15mins. If you try these let me know what you think :)

going to make some of these tonight :)

Thank you xx

Aww thank you! Hope you enjoy xx

so excited I have my first batch in of vanilla and ginger and I have spiced the second batch up (tomorrow's biscuits) by adding a date chopped up :)

can't wait to try them with a cuppa in mmmm 5 mins !!!

okay so threw first batch away :( the second batch is gorgeous I had two types of porridge oats fine and normal.

Fine were horrible but the normal oats were amazing and the date worked really well 2 syns a date and I only used 1 so that's 2 sins for the whole batch
