Just checking, but am I right in thinking that if I do a green day, use pudding rice and sweetener, and use milk from my HE, would my rice pudding be free? Cripes I hope so!

Well, I was kinda thinking, if I used skimmed milk, I could make a whole heap of it (in the oven, mmmm) and use it over 2-3 days as my (free!) treat. :)

Oooo, with cinnamon! Now THAT would be lush

Thanks gettingfit, have found them! Still a newbie here so still finding my way round :)

Yes it would be free Gruffalo and welcome :)

Woo hoo! Guess what day I'll be having tomorrow then?..... GREEN!

I make rice pudding by using cooked rice - usually Thai jasmine cos that's all we eat - put hea milk and two eggs in a saucepan and whisk whilst heating - when thickened add sweetener, rice, vanilla and nutmeg and keep stirring until rice separates. All free...

Now THAT sounds good, thanks Opelia105, I will defo try this recipe!

That does sound good...trip to the shops for me I think. One question, what is Thai Jasmine rice?

It is a specialist rice bought from an international supermarket by the 25kg sack. It is from Thailand and has a distinctive taste. don't buy it in tesco cos it is extortionately priced. Ordinary white rice will do.

Thanks, I'm going Tesco today to get ingredients...rice pudding, here I come!
