If you're on a green or EE day, slices of polenta can be a good substitute for bread and they're free. They're great with a fried egg on the top :D

There is one white bread that can be had as a B choice Nimble or weightwatchers IIRC - someone else will look in their book for you I am sure (my books, along with the rest of my life has been packed in my recent move)

All other white bread has to be synned as mentioned above.

just looked at my book.

2 slices hovis nimble bread, any variety

theres also 3 slices of weightwatchers brown danish bread but i dont think that would suit you?

thank you all so much for taking the trouble to reply. Ironically I can tolerate ryvita, and do like crispbreads so I think I will use these as my healthy extra and syn with one slice homemade bread (my weakness).

you have found a happy balance so go for it.

i use part of my syns for half spoon sugar which is half sugar half sweetner. just cant bring myself to try full on sweetners!!
