ermintrude Gold Member 9 January 2012 #2 I dont know but in my book it says 2 nuts is half a syn. You could work it out from there I guess.
Leigh. Full Member 9 January 2012 #3 Thanks Ermintrude. Am I right in thinking a Healthy Extra is 6 syns?
ermintrude Gold Member 9 January 2012 #4 It is usually about 6 or 7, although I know some cheeses are less (about 4 or 5), Im not sure about nuts. 2 nuts for half a syn would make 24 nuts which does seem a lot more than a dessertspoon full. It also says 28g is 8.5 syns so that would be about 20 nuts if a HEX was 6 syns. Maybe Ive only ever eaten very large pistachios... (PS all that is plain nuts btw, not the roasted salted ones)
