Hi Everyone, I am new to this but want to start the Cambridge Diet.

I had my tonsils removed last friday and really want to know how soon they would let me start it. I am still in some discomfort but cant eat normal food anyway and have lost a stone in a week!! I wanted to keep it off. My counciler said to wait a while. How long is a while?

I am slightly impatient!!

I know that the medical form states that you need to wait 3months from operation.....here's a list of those who are 'contra indicated' i.e. can't do ANY Cambridge programme....

A - Contraindicated
Medical Condition:
The Cambridge Diet should not be used in any weight loss programme by the following people:
  • pregnant or breast-feeding women
  • children under 14 years of age
  • diabetics on insulin (diabetes Type 1 or diabetes insipidus)
  • within 3 months of having a heart attack or stroke; or an operation or serious accident
  • anyone with a serious heart condition
  • porphyria
  • severe kidney or liver disease
  • severe depression
  • anorexia or bulimia nervosa
hope that helps....

love
