I make up my Slim Fast in a blender with 150ml skimmed milk and 150ml water. If I'm making a caramel or chocolate one, (sometimes I do one of each) I add a heaped teaspoon of coffee (dissolved works best). Douwe Egberts or beanies flavoured coffees are good to experiment with. I add about 6 ice cubes and the magic ingredient, a quarter teaspoon of xanthan gum. This helps thicken the mixture and stops it from separating, you get a really lovely texture with it. You can find it in either the gluten free aisle or the baking aisle. Enjoy!
