Hi Everyone

I'm having my first appoinment with CDC tonight and I can't wait!!

I've tried sooo many other diets before and although they haven't worked for me in terms of losing all my excess weight, they have all taught me something. Along the way I have learned so much about what works for me (and what doesn't) and I now feel ready to do do this!!

What have I learned?

That weighing myself everyday is a definate NO NO. There were days (when I had lost) when weighing kept me motivated but there were also many more days when I hadn't lost and I felt dissapointed with myself, my body and the diet. This always led to negative thoughts and me questioning wether the diet worked or wether I could do it and eventually I would give up. This time around I WILL NOT weigh myself at home, I don't have scales at home and I don't inted to buy any either. Once a week is enough to know how I am doing.

I have also learned that setting unrealistic goals will set me up for failure. On CD I know very well that I can lose weight FAST but I will still be careful to set achievable goals and if I lose more it will be a bonus.

Last but not least, I have learned that if I fall off the wagon and put off my weigh in (so I can lose the weight I may have put on) for a week it is very difficult to get back on board. I have promised myself that I will go for my weigh in regardless of how the week has been because sometimes we think we have done more harm than we actually have.

Sorry to babble on but I just needed to get this down somewhere!!!:p

Good luck Katie with your dc journey! You sound to me like youve pretty much got your head round the important stuff so im sure the not eating bit will go fine!! Sarahxx.
