I dont know the scientific answer but I know someone I work with tends to do this and she has lost. However she will be the first to say that sometimes the weekend turns into long weekends and thats when she has to reign it back in ;)

I guess you could if you made you sure watch what you ate on the weekend. As in maybe don't count cals but eat light or just healthy in the day so you can have whatever takeaway you want. Some stuff has so many calories its shocking.

Also i remember reading a thread on my fitness pal. And was a girl saying i stick to my cals every day and have one cheat day and im not losing. Someone looked at what she was eating and worked out that she was eating her whole deficit in that day so obviously wouldn't be losing.
