I'm new and its day one

Hi everyone, well I posted the other day to get some info about the diet and here I am having started day one, so far so good, I must admit I don't feel hungry as such, just trying to get used to not eating solid food and I'm missing food.

But I have bought myself a dress today for a conference I have to go to at the end of Jan which is the incentive I need to get into it, I need to lose almost 3st for it to probably fit, hopefully this will spur me on!

Any tips or advice to help me get through the next few days?

I am doing Lighterlife which is a similar thing and I am on day 3. I found day 1 hard and today hard. I dont know any advice to get you through the next few days, just keep going and believe that it is going to get easier. Focus on your goal and avoid food at all costs! If it is any consolation I found day 2 a breeze! :) Sarah x

WATER!! Water is the best friend you can adopt on this diet, it will give you something to stick in your gob when you are bursting to eat, it will flush out your toxins and flush out the fat! "THE MORE YOU DRINK THE MORE YOU SHRINK" As some say here, and its so so true.

Also, read the stickies and search through the threads for tips on varying the shakes. I am currently drinking a chocolate shake made with cold peppermint tea instead of water, blended with ice and I am loving it!

Stick with it and you'll love it!

WELCOME The first few days are the hardest but as blackrose said drink water at least 3ltrs per day and you will be fine, once you get into ketosis you will feel onto of the world but until then have nice soaks in the bath and have early nights thats what go me through xx

thanks for your kind words, still feeling ok but just tired really, I think I will watch celebrity and then have an early night tonight, I wasn't too impressed with the pharmacy though earlier I must say, they weren't very supportive but, hey, that's not going to stop me!, do they make you stop when you get to a certain weight though? they didn't even mention anything about a target weight to me, although I have in my head a weight of around 10st7lbs which will put me in a size 10 (for once in my life!)

not goin to lie its goin to be hard the nxt fee days but once ur on like the fifth day u should be flyin! its well worth it i just finished today!

blondie, you have done amazin, I can't imagine going without food for so long at the moment, I love food and my life revolves around it (prob explains why I have got so big!), I tried CD a year or so ago and did it for 2 weeks but then blew it, this time though I am determined to do this, I have to do it.

Welcome & good luck with the first few days...it can be tough going at first, but once ketosis kicks in you will be fine! Drink lots of water it really does help,have plenty of warm baths,early nights & dont worry about doing exercise for the 1st wk or 2....good luck!!! Caz xx

Hi Rachelina good luck for your first week. My best advice for you is to come on here as much as you can during the first few days and the time will fly. :)

well I made it to day 2:D which is fab but feeling a bit wobbly this morning, have just had my first shake though so will keep going, I know it's going to get easier in a few days so will persevere, thanks for everyone's kind wishes and support, I have got almost 4st to lose now which is daunting to say the least esp with xmas coming up

you gotta keep plodding thru the first week or so, its not easy and the weak ones quit at this stage, but don't, - just battle 7 days one at a time, you'll survive and then it's almost second nature. i was so sick the first week, but now its a piece of cake. Shout if you need comfort or reassurance.

Thanks hun, today has been hard but I've just had my last shake, a hot choc which was really nice and has filled me up actually! so with a bit more water tonight I should be fine, I am determined to do this, so many people have done so well on here that I think they can't possibly feel like I do at the moment for the whole time of the diet otherwise they wouldn't be able to keep it up would they? so it must get easier as time passes

Hiya hun, Make water your best friend as its the key to losing the weight, the first few days are the worst but that is part of the detox. If ya are feeling like giving up or just want advice in general just log on here and someone will always want to listen. Hope your first week goes well, take care
