Little pickers

Hi. I do a mixture of ss and ss+ and I tend to pick a little everyday! Just a little here and there. But I struggle to go a day without sliding a half biscuit or bread stick etc! How much harm can this do??

I assume it would stop you going into ketosis so quite harmful to a VLCD

Ditto this.

If your going to pick then pick on chicken, fish, cheese and eggs at least until you get into ketosis.

I agree with the above, if you could stop for a couple of days you would go into ketosis and maybe the need to do this would fade?

I have struggled this weekend but just had a little extra chicken and lots of water!! xx

yes be careful with picking. i've picked on a very small amount over the past couple of weeks, literally a tiny chunk of chocolate everyday but i've only lost 1lb a week compared with 2-3lbs weekly losses so obviously it took me out of ketosis. ive gone back to just SS this week, only 3 shakes and water nothing else, hoping that it'll give me a better loss!

Echo the others - if you feel like you have to pick, make it protein that won't interfere with ketosis, so chicken, eggs etc. I found babybels helped as they gave me a taste of real food but it's portioned out so I would just eat one and that made me feel much better.

Defo, agree with everyone, any carbs are a big no no... eg wheat, sugar, potatoes, etc...

I find a wee bit of cheese, or a couple of nuts, or a little bit of chicken is good and I stay in ketosis. Also on days I feel really starving, I just have a huge bowl of salad leaves, cucumber, cress and balsamic vinegar... Hasn't made any difference to ketosis or losing weight!
