I think maybe it might be best for the mods alone to moderate the forums... as Christie says its easy for things to be taken up the wrong way. And everyone can just do their best to post in the right forums. I know your just trying help JayLou but it sounds like it causes more irrelevant posts.

No actually Jaylou is spot on. This forum (Minimins not SW) is massive and generates thousands of posts every single day. There are only about 5 of us on the Moderation team and its a massive job keeping the site running smoothly.

We welcome any help from members and jaylou is not alone in pointing out that things are in the wrong forum. Help from members is absolutely invaluable and is a huge part of keeping this site running smoothly and spam free.

The big deal is the sub forums were set up at the request of members to make the site as easy to manage as possible. By having things like Syn forums and eating out forums its much easier to find if your query has already been asked, and it usually has been.

Before the sub forums were created the main forum moved so fast things got lost and members queries didnt get answered.

If there are sub forums for things, and you know theyre there then its common courtesy to use them. Unfortunately many established members choose to ignore this fact which merely increases the workload for Moderators when theres no need for it.

Threads iin the wrong area will be either locked or moved
