Mantra's/quotes to help keep you focused

It took more than a day to put it on, it will take more than a day to take it off
Don't let your mind bully your body
You are not going to get the bum you want, sitting on the bum you have
Don't eat it if you can't pronounce the ingredients
Suck it up and someday you wont have to suck it in (Courtesy of my husband, the git! Lol)
Sweat is fat crying
No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch

Hahaha!

I love that 'still lapping everyone on the couch' one!

There's a couple of quotes I like. One is

"No matter how slow you go, you're still lapping everybody on the couch"

and

"Never regret anything, because at one point it was exactly what you wanted"

So we might have bad days, but we shouldn't let that worry us, because ultimately being happy is the best goal in life.
If having a bad day made you happy, let it, don't regret it and start again the next day.
Otherwise you'll just go downhill and fret and lose the point.

Oh, the lapping one got posted by somebody else whilst I was typing haha.
Just shows how good it is.

I find that pinterest often have plenty of inspirational pictures on it.

Fab quotes

I've resisted Pinterest till now, might have to give it a bash

My personal fav is the "Don't eat it if you can't pronounce the ingredients" because I use it while shopping (It does sometimes lead to a few sulks on my behalf!) lol

Oooo! Lee Lee, another newbie!

How are you managing to navigate round the site? I'm still finding it a little difficult...
X

I had these posted elsewhere so some may of seen them:

Just a few I have wrote down to help me when in need:

1)Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.
2)Learn from the past, set vivid, detailed goals for the future, and live in the only moment of time over which you have any control: now.
3)Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.
4)What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.
5)There is nothing deep down inside us except what we have put there ourselves.

The last one makes me lol, I don't think its very inspirational or motivating but I always think 'yeah I put food in there' ha ha x x x

I also like

"What doesn't challenge you, doesn't change you"

So although sticking to your weight loss plan, whether that's through food or exercise or both, can be hard, it will be worth it.
If it was easy, it would be the way life was.

Hi fat-harrie, finding it ok, just stuck in that pre-50 posts land so it's not as user friendly as it could be yet. How are you getting on?

- discipline is simply choosing between what you want now and what you want most
- success is not a race, be patient
- when you feel like quitting remember why you started

- bigger snacks lead to bigger slacks
- the cardiologist's diet rule No.1... if it tastes good spit it out

i've these stuck beside where i keep my bread and crackers...
- what you eat in private will show up in public
- if hunger is not the problem, then eating is not the solution

I have come too far in life to take orders from food.
