Microwave packet rices

    Can anyone tell me if these are free? Such as fried rice or plain white rice. The brand states 'Rice' and I got them from Home Bargains.

    They are not normally syn free - take a look at the ingredients and there will likely be some oil to stop the rice from sticking together.

    Yes, Circes is right. It doesn't matter what it says on the front of the packet, you have to turn it over and get the magnifying glass out and read the small print of the ingredients list. I am not aware of a "free" microwave rice (but would love to know if one exists!)

    Apparently the pilau microwaveable rice from Morrisons is 1 syn for the whole pouch. Im pretty sure ive checked this to be correct (ill go and double check) it is really nice !

    Just checked it and the above is correct!
