Mozzarella

Hiya! Can someone please confirm I can have 42g of standard Mozzarella as 1 HEA?

Also, is there such thing as reduced fat or half haf Mozzarella? If so, can you have more than the allocated 42g of the standard stuff?

Cheers :D xx

Yes, 42g of mozzarella is a HEXA. As you can have the same amount of it as you can have of reduced-fat cheddar, I would guess that it is fairly low-fat anyway. I think I have seen mozzarella "light" in the supermarket but I wouldn't think of buying it.

Yes, you can get reduced fat mozzeralla - but I dont know how much you can get for a healthy extra choice - its not listed on the list of healthy extras on the website - just the 42g of regular.

I would guess you can have a bit more (about 1/3 more if its 30% lighter so about 63g?). Just wish they had it listed.

Aldi sell reduced fat mozzarella, I always use it rather than the full fat stuff. Behaves the same when melted, and can't say I've noticed too much of a difference in taste. About 49p for a ball :)

The HEXA section at the back of the free branded foods book lists:

57g Sainsburys Be Good to Yourself mozzarella

and

8 x 8g President Light Mozzarella Balls, Mini

HTH!
