My 12 Week Challenge starting today - Anyone care to join? - LETS DO IT!!

Day 2 back on plan is going well. The introduction of herbal teas is really breaking up the boredom of just water. Tummy has been grumbling literally non stop but its ok. I've found someone at work who is also on SS and we had a chat earlier which was nice as we just laughed about how hungry we are!! Loved the leek & potato soup that I just had for dinner, well needed during this cold snap!!
How's everyone else getting on today?
 
Lucky you, someone who understands what you're doing at work! Helps to keep you accountable and on your toes too (too many office parties and lunches). My stomach grumbles constantly (meetings can be awkward) but it's not hungry, it's a very weird feeling. I had 3 veggie soups today! think this time around it might be the thing that will save me coz sometimes I feel like all the sweet stuff is what spurs my eating frenzies/binges.
Plus I love, love, love the veggie soup, I add loads of water so that helps count for the water requirement :7834:
 
Nearing the end of day 4 for me :)

Even though I am not feeling hungry and tummy is still making some very strange noises which gets me some weird looks from the children I work with at school!

LOL, I can just see the kids (how old?) - how much you wanna bet one of them is going to say something soon? Kids always crack me up! My son actually commented on my stomach noises last saturday, he asked me what I was hiding inside my tummy that was growling to get out... Soo funny! Anyway, day 13 done and dusted, had 3 soups and 1 porridge tonight, guess I was in a soup craving mood! Today went down a lot smoother than other days, wonder if it was the savory vs sweet thing going on. On reg food I almost never go for the sweet stuff, including dessert, so maybe that's what has been bugging me with the shakes and tetra etc :p Had 3.5 liters of reg water, a little bit of fizzy and loads in my soup.
Not weighing tomorrow as cdc is away, aiming for a huge loss next week though, would be gutted if not.

I sneaked a look on the scale this morning - I'm ok with my loss considering I did eat chicken and eggs on the weekend.. Will see REAL loss on Friday...

It does HELP to have a diet buddy close by! I have one on text who lives just outside of my country - we text daily to see how we're doing. She's been sooooo good on 100% SS for 3 long weeks and was disapointed at her WI yesterday, so for a change, she needed encouragement.

We encourage each other as we all have the same goal in mind. To BE THIN!:D

Rushing to a meeting - so will catch up later!

Here's (raising glass of water) to another good diet day and a few more lbs off!

Hey Jilly - yeah, we've officially banned all horse jokes in the office, some would remember them during client meetings and start smirking.. will pass on dressing down details!
It will be 2 weeks worth of loss for me next weigh-in, I'm not even gonna weigh myself so as to have a great loss next week ;)
Yeah no diet buddy here... which is weird, I live part of my life being among the "bigger half" in France, then I go to the States and I'm "normal"... it really skews things for me! Oh well, makes for interesting convos (in my head of course!)
 
Guys had my first weigh in lost 5 and a half ppunds is this good for a first loss ?? I'm a bit down about it feels like alot of work to put in for just that??

Hi Diaryofacambridgebeauty! Yes it does depend on how much you've got to lose, also how "carby" you were the week before - as I'm mostly a protein gal by nature, 1st week losses are never HUGE. There was this lady once on this site who lost 21lbs on her first w-i :eek:. I was like - "me, me met oo, I want that!!" But then she had a lot more to lose than me...
Also have you been drinking your water? You could be close to TOM and retaining water; and last but not least, you could be a slow loser...
just don't get discouraged OK, this diet works IF you stick to it
Good luck and we're always here for you if you need to vent/cry/moan or BOAST of course!
 
I'm quite muscular and would like to find it I anyone knows if ill lose some muscle after 12 weeks on SS? Any opinions?

Yes, you will unfortunately. Do you get weighed on a regular scale or does your CDC have the one that calculates body %? If you don't and ae really worried about it, find one to follow your progress, it's quite helpful

Right....2.8litres down and its not lunch time yet. Oh yes, and I re-read the cambridge book last night - well the sections that applied to me SS and SS+ and even step 1 to look at the menu!!! :gimi: The food doesnt look great on step 1, but hey, its food!!! But thats a looooong way off still....

I managed not to rip into the chicken last night!!!! The kids had a leg each and some breast.... and the rest will go into a stew. I may suck on a bone...:rolleyes:
 
I'm still feeling bad about my cheat last saturday :mad: I'm sooo worried that I won't lose anything this week and I've still got the weekend to contend with before my weigh in on Monday. Considering my cheat was at the end of last week and by next weigh in I will have been back on it a full week, what do people think the effect will be??? I'm already feeling disappointed and its only Wednesday!!!

On a brighter note, I just tried the toffee bar and I loved it! Really feels like I'm having something naughty :tongue:

Haha, excited wish it were 5kgs... prob be like 3, 3.5 if I'm lucky

I usually got to NYC for an entire week, I'll either go the sat before or return the sat night (makes it Sunday am back with time diff) - either way it's full 5 day workweek:eek:. The worse part of it is the bloating/water retention and dry skin from flying... otherwise, the flight is direct and I usually end up sleeping the whole way unless i have my chatterbox assistant with me... usually ply her with drinks or sleeping aids or try to have her sit somewhere else. This girl is SOMETHING else.
 
5 n half pounds is really good for a first lot i lost 6 pounds at my first weigh in thought i couldve done better but that was good enough. Atleast uv lost something n sometimes wen we dont see changes on the scales u might to do with your inches. Iv been told my inch loss is better than my weight loss nw i dont knw wheather to feel happy or sad :-s

Aaaah Fairy... put it down to a one nighter and promise yourself to stay good the rest of the week - worst case scenario is you stay the same??? Just stay 100% this week (and weekend) and drink lots of water..... and just say it was a weak moment... dont let it put you off the rest of the diet because of one slip up.
 
So how's everyone doing? Did ok, had 2 boiled egg whites as I was dizzy like mad! Really, really hate it!
Drinking my water, had 3 soups and a porridge!

What do you do when/if you get dizzy?
