My First Weigh In :(

I was weighed yesterday and all I lost was 1 1/2 lbs :cry:
I stuck to the extra easy plan and hardly had any syns and too be honest was hoping for a much bigger loss for my 1st week.
I did start my period today and my mates have said thats the reason it was such a poor loss. Is this true cos I suspect they would say this just to make me feel better??????

Thanks KarenB, Im going to write a food diary for this week and show my consultant on thursday to make sure Im not going horribly wrong without realising it! Fingers crossed for a better weigh in this week! :)
I agree about using some syns. From the people I see at class it seems to be those that dont use many syns or none at all who are struggling to use weight and those that are having around 10 a day are having good losses.

I think there is such a thing as being to strict :eek:

You dont have to have syns on chocolate etc try having some mayo, sauce, tom puree, gravy on your dinner or some bread.

On the other hand 1 1/2 lbs is a good loss dont be to hard on yourself. :D
Too start with I didn't use many syns (2-4 per day) and lost 2lbs at my first weigh in. On * week I gained, even though I'd stuck to plan. The week after * week I lost 7lbs lol :)
don't be disheartened, I stayed the same at my first weigh in! and then 2nd weigh in lost 4.5lbs! it'll happen, sometimes takes a bit longer than a week for your body to adjust and show you the results! :)
