Step 1 Sole Source Need a Friend to help me through this journey

    :sign0163: Hi there!! I'm really looking for someone to go through this journey with me, I am aware as well as physical changes it will also be a rollercoaster of emotions!. I am living in Dubai and have just recently got engaged to an amazing man, we are planning the wedding for August this year! I really need to lose 5stone if possible! I feel awful! so bloated and unattractive! Fiancé took a picture of me this morning with the dogs lay on me on the bed and I couldn't believe that person was me! Unfortunately I don't really have much support with the diet here, its all about personal training and lean eating!!:sigh: which I would love to do once ive lost some blubber as its so embarrassing at the moment! Other half finds that hilarious!! I am so determined to do this and started on day one today!
    Some of the stories on here are so inspirational!

    I'm also on day 1 & have a lot to lose. I'm 5 ft 5 and weigh a massive 19st 8 :(

    I'm in the zone, right frame of mine. I need to do this for health reasons too.

    Hi!!:D I try not to think about the number just the number that will be coming off every week! That's what we have to remind ourselves this diet does work!!

    Hiya, Bridetobe1980

    This is definitely the place to come for support - I'm starting day 5 and think without the support and inspirational stories I might not have even able to say I've been 100% :)

    I'd love a buddy too if anyone would like one - I've over 9 stone to lose but happy just taking one step at a time.

    Good luck and it'll all be worth it when we step on the scales :)

    Well done on your loss so far!! I am sat here surrounded by bottles of water (different varieties may I add!!) im treating myself to sparkling and ordinary! also have a lovely black coffee beside me! Hoping the journey into Ketosis isn't too bad!!

    I want to lose about the same as you, the support here is going to be my lifeline! We can do this. It's just a case of being disciplined and always remembering what we're moving towards, rather than what we're moving away from.

    You will be at goal by August. I bet there isn't a bit of food in the world that can make you feel as good as you'll feel walking down the aisle knowing you look stunning. Try to visualise that feeling, and all the other positive things you'll feel. Food will pale into insignificance in comparison.

    Awwwww thankyou FunnyFarm :love047: its so much stress trying to organize things from here plus im moving and opening a Nursery! No pressure then! I need to learn how to handle my emotions, I am sad to say today didn't go well :break_diet:but in a strange way it made me more determined!
    Tomorrow will be the day! :D

    Having people tell you that "all you need to do is exercise and eat better" isn't very helpful, my male colleagues pull that one all the time! When will they realise if I could do that I would be doing it. My reason was that when I had a choice to eat "lean" food I never would. By removing food from the equation it's made me realise a bit more about myself and my relationship with food.

    You can do it!!!

    That would be like telling an alcoholic 'all you need to do is just not drink so much.' It's just plain ignorant.

    Thank you Fay!! I did try with a PT however started off okay when it was one on one (didn't change my eating habits tho!!) then she moved me into a group session that consisted of 2 other PT's who just wanted to build up there stamina in there idy bidy shorts and crop tops! Then there was me flabby and sweaty size 18 looking for the nearest defibulator, These macho women make squats look as easy as I do consuming a large bar of chocolate!!! Depressed!!
    So yes I know Cambridge is the right choice for me:pxx
