Sorry this isn't going to be a frivolous post!
I've been having throat problems for years, the last bout of Tonsillitis had three lots of Antibiotics thrown at it and only the last one which was a double course cleared it.
My hearing has been worse than ever since October. Anyway the GP I see specialises in ENT and he is 'concerned', he's not convinced it's just Tonsillitis as my tonsils are still inflamed a month later. So he's taken a swab to see if there are other nasties going on.
If not he's going to fast track me to the hospital citing my strong family history (mum and aunt) of Oral Cancer as a flag.
Now my head knows it's very very unlikely, and that he's a worry wort, but my heart keeps going 'oh flip!'
I know I'm being daft about it, it's very unlikely as I don't smoke or drink very often and rarely to excess. But my dear friends sister died a fortnight ago aged 49, of it too so I'm being a wuss!
Forgive me for being such mood killer, but my husband worries enough and well my friends have enough to deal with, one who's mum has terminal cancer. I can't talk to my brothers as they've seen it close up with Mum and that's what's horrifying.
Sorry to ramble on I just needed to get it out!
