Negative people

IM so frustrated. Sick of hearing people say how can u not eat and surely when u come off lipotrim u'll pile on the weight. That its not healthy and its not a good lifestyle change and it affects ur everyday life. Are these people jealous r what that ur trying to make a new you. Uggghhh so frustrated right now. Feel like i have to justify the diet constantly. Im like a lipotrim spokewoman.

I have been through this at work, but now after 11 weeks they have given up ;) It's hard sometimes, but try to ignore it. it is their problem not yours :D

I have hidden my diet from people for that reason. My roommate knows and she is really supportive and my mum knows but that's it. Hidden it in work cause I don't want to have to listen to people saying that kind of stuff.

I have actually found I prefer to keep it to myself just in case I fail as I know people will think it is too extreme, I don't like negativity around me during this diet.

Oh how I hate this. The girls at the office aren't very supportive for me either. My reaction to them now is just "yeah, I know it's probably just another fad diet that won't last but thought I'd give it a go.. at least it's keeping me off sweets for a bit.. I probably won't last another day!" and I just kind of agree with them to shut them up. I just make out like I don't have high hopes for it and I'm about to give up at any moment so that they can sit there all smug and contently thinking they're right. But by the time I'm done I'll be like "well whaddya know?" and I bet those hypocrites will want to know exactly what LT is and how to get on it. Much as I'd like to become a virtual LT spokesperson and defend it every time someone questions me I just don't have the mentality for it at the moment. If all goes as planned though, I'll probably be recommending it to everyone I know and shouting from the rooftops. :D

People dont understand that it is medically safe and that it doesnt matter which diet you lose your weight on or how fast or slow you lose it, if you go back to eating unhealthy foods you will put it all back on. We all know that, its not exclusive to L.T.

I told everybody in the office where I work as I would be having my shakes in front of them. Half were supportive but the others were the same as everyone else has described. This diet has been good for me. It's not only helped me lose weight but also shown me what else bingeing on food can do to your body. For 18 months I battled with dizziness, sickness, headaches, pins and needles in my head and blurred vision. I was constantly at the doctors, refurred to a specialist and had a brain scan. He finally admitted that he had no idea what was wrong with me, but thought it may be migrane related. I thought he was just fobbing me off but after not eating food for 10 weeks I now realise he was right. My symptoms stopped as soon as I stopped eating. As I am now doing my refeed to go on holiday it is giving me the chance to introduce different foods to see which were affecting me. At the moment all is still going well. It is obvious it was the over load of sweet, sugary junk that I was over indulging in.

me neither.....couldn't have said it better myself.

I think what Daisy is trying to say is Haters gunna hate :)

I have been off TFR for about 6 weeks now (lost count) and have lost a further half st and lost loads of inches through exercise feeling fantastic and also have never eaten so healthily in my life I was on a slippery road to ill health and possibly worse but now I am a week away from running my first 10k and then aiming for a half marathon so let other people think what they like they are just jealous and do not understand!!!!

I just say it's a medical diet. And I chose who I tell it's complete meal replacement. I just say to people that I replace some meals but don't go into much detail. The less people know, the less they feel they have a right to express an (uninformed) opinion.

Know the feeling... one of my best friends gave me a proper scolding when I told her I'd be on what she calls this 'fad unhealthy diet'. Another good friend initially was against it and wouldn't talk to me properly for a couple of days, but a few months on she admitted she's seeing how much good it's doing me. My parents had reservations but saw how it was working out for me and now ask after my health. I admit if someone else was doing it I'd probably have felt they were being too extreme before I gave LT a try, but it's what works for me and I feel a lot healthier.

its just jealousy hun dont listen to them.and i agree with daisy well said when all said and done its down to us to do our best to keep it off and nobody else.keep up the good work x.
