Hi all, my name is Lisa, age 29 and yet again i begin my Slimming World journey tomorrow morning and am looking forward to it I have been a member of this site for a while and been following ww been in recent weeks have fallen off the wagon because i have been hungry, so decided to come back to good old sw

(i will record my weight tomorrow although its probably more than when i started ww!! )

I have been on slimming world numerous times in the last 10 years and lost a bit then failed, i have now been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and am on medication for it so now i know why i have been unable to stick to it over the years.


Looking forward to getting to know you all and get and give advice

Hiya babymimi, welcome on board! So glad they have finally diagnosed you, I bet it's a huge relief? Hope the medication works well for you. My cousin is bi-polar also, and being diagnosed has really been a turning point in his life. And if you feel you're about to fall off the wagon, or things get difficult - we are ALWAYS here to give you all the support you need!!! Use us!!!! Let this time be the time

Hi Caramelle,
Yes it is a huge relief, and certainly explains lot of things i have done over the years!!!

I am not going to class as have had to give up work cos of this disorder, as worked with kids. So cant really afford it at the moment.

Well have weighed myself and am 14st 9lb.

Have so far today had an apple and a frozen muller light as am waiting for my asda delievery, lol

Hi Lisa,

Welcome back to SW I could never get on with WW either as I always felt restricted and had a hard time counting absolutely everything i ate. it's so much easier to have free foods and only have to measure certain bits as well as not being restricted. Have a fantastic first week, look forward to seeing how you get on.

As the others have said really...now that you have medication and things are sorting themselves out, everything will fall back into place for you.
