Hi Everyone, just started on here and on Sw.
If i had jacket pot and baked beans for my tea could i have fruit as my super free afterwards as long as i make it 1/3 of what i had.
Hope that makes sense and thanks for any help xx
The idea of the 1/3 superfree is to
1. physically limit the amount of non superfree (eg higher calorie) food that can fit on your plate and
2. Fill you up to leave less room in your stomach.
Although some may say you can eat fruit afterwards, I never go by this as to me this is defeating the points above. Personally I would either eat fruit or something similar for a starter if I was having something like a potato, or have it with a side salad. You could also make your own coleslaw with onion, cabbage, carrots, apple and fat free fromage frais- this would go well with a potato and count as part of the superfree.
Of course if you are still hungry afterwards then fruit is a great thing to choose, but I don't think having it afterwards should be classed as your 1/3. Hope this helps x
I agree with ScarlettStar above. Really you're supposed to have the superfree with your meal to limit the amount of free food you eat. If you're having it afterwards, I would leave a third of your plate empty, as if it was on there iyswim.
