Newbie questions!!

Good afternoon all!

I have tried and failed with every fad diet known to (wom)man..... My question is... does calorie counting alone work?? It would appear that according to the media the only weightloss that works is Keto this or meal replacement that.... I just want simplicity and to re-set my brain!

I was thinking 1200 cals per day and going to the gym 3 times a week

In it's very simplest terms if you consume less calories than your body uses in a day you will lose weight. Calorie counting works for many people, but it can be hard to weigh and measure everything to count accurately.

I am currently following the principles of SW but I am also calorie counting using My Fitness Pal so I can re-educate myself on portions etc. I am finding that very helpful, but I do weigh / measure everything.

Yes it definately works i lost 7 stone cal counting in 9 months and kept it off for a couple of years until i fell pregnant again.... its the most realistic weight loss i think coz its possible to use it at goal normal day to day living.
