Newbie, what books?

Hi everyone
I am excited to be joining SW today at 9.30am. I am so fed up of being fat and I turn 40 in Feb so want to look good. I tried WW but got hungry and tired of counting everything. Plus I want meals my pre-teen daughter and young son can eat with me.

I am veggie, and was wondering what books should I purchase to start me off with ideas to get me going, I was thinking of the Green Recipe book but what other books are good? Is it worth getting the food directory or waiting till the new year?

I am so excited for this, I really think I can do it!

Welcome to SW Crunchy! I'm a veggie too. You don't really need a food directory as if you're going to class you can check syn values etc online. However if you'd prefer the book I'd wait till the 2013 edition is out at the end of this year/beginning of the next. Good luck hun and keep us posted as to how you get on.

Also if you're registering on the sw site (which you do for free as a paying member) you can download the sw app to your phone and then its handy for when you're food shopping
