    Hi there!
    My name's Martyn and I'm brand new to this website!
    The reason I joined this website is because I need to lose a lot of weight, and ideally ASAP, and I feel that I need some support! :)
    I'm only 17 years old, but I'm just under 20 stone, at 19 stone 6.

    The reason I need to lose all my weight is because I'm an actor, and I'm currently studying Musical Theatre, and next month I start my auditions for all the big London drama schools, and as you can probably guess, theatre tend to judge people on their weight!

    Theatre has always been my life, and it's my dream to stand on a west end stage singing my heart out, and I feel as if I've let my weight get extremely out of hand.

    I've come here for support, and from looking around the website I'm sure I'll get some. I need to lose about 100 pounds to be at a nice healthy ideal weight for my height, and also to be happy in myself.

    I look forward to losing all of it with support! :D

    Welcome aboard :) My husband and stepdaughter are both into drama (teacher + lighting/sound tech). What are your plans re diet and exercise?

    Um, basically exercise as much as possible, and I'm still confused as to dieting, I need to look into that more :)

    Good luck with it :) You might find it helpful to set yourself mini-goals. I've found the 'For Dummies' books really good to give me a core understanding so I know what I'm aiming for. Being a guy, weight-training would probably be very helpful for you; you have the advantage over us girls in terms of building muscle fast. Are you planning on exercising in your own way, join a gym etc?

    Does anyone have any suggestions towards diet?

    Its really whatever suits you. Im doing weight watchers pro points which i find brilliant cos i can eat anything as long as i count it in my points. I also walk every day for roughly 30 mins and have lst a stone in 5 wks. But do research and see what plan is best for you x

    Wow you're tall =) and I believe your weight loss goal is reasonable as well as reachable...you can do this! Just stay motivated and committed. Good luck on your journey...
