On slimming world - and loves to cook :) my sw recipes

there isnt really a recipe as such

i blitz 2-3 onions with 3-4 cloves of garlic and about the same ginger and a chilli

fry that in a hot pan in frylite with a heaped tsp of paprika ground cumin and ground corriander 1/2 tsp of tumeric and cinnamon

fry for around 5 min then add a tin of chopped tomatoes

thats my basic curry sauce

then it turns into a chuck it any veg and meat thats in my fridge and needs eating just simmer until veg and meat are tender

et voila

chuck it curry

if you add rice when you add all chuck it ingredients and simmer with a bit of extra stock you get a wierd biryani type thingy lob an omlet on top and its done

I love Curry, this week I have made chicken pathia (nice) and Fat Free Rogan Josh (OK), will give this one a go. Have you tried the Super Fast Soup? Really Nice!

ok sorry ive been away for a bit but ive been digging out my garden and turfing it ALOT of work but the excercise can't hurt:8855:

iv'e found muscles i did not know i had:eek: ouch

so ive been living off my emergency standbys of low low cheese spread veggies and pasta

i like to keep cooked pasta in my fridge just cook it then run under the cold tap until its cooled then drain and put in tupperware in the fridge then when i want it i just chuck in a pan with my veggies and chosen sauce and i have food in literally 2-3 minutes

ive also been making my mackerel pate as i just love it

and beans on toast so simple and tasty and cheap too

oh and today i made baba ganoush a lovely roast aubergine dip

ok so i had 1 aubergine so this is the recipe for 1 so just double the recipe if you make it with 2 aubergines

1x aubergine
1x tsp cumin
chilli flakes to taste
juice of half a lemon
salt

ok so all you do is roast the aubergine in the oven util it is cooked and the skin is burned and charred
put it in a bowl and cover with clingfilm (it makes it easier to remove skin)
after it has cooled enough to handle remove clingfilm and remove skin
put flesh in a blender with all other ingredients and blitz
thats it

i had mine on a platter with salad pitta bread and my homemade tatziki and mackerel pate

5 eggs (separated)
40 g reduced fat cocoa (6 syns) (other cocoa may be different syns)
5-6 heaped dessertspoons of sweetener (sucralose ones are best for cooking with)

whisk up the egg whites to stiff peaks
in another bowl whisk the cocoa with yolks and sweetener
carefully fold the choc mix into the egg whites (with a metal spoon)(helps keep air in)

bake in a lined roulade tin that’s been sprayed with frylite for around 20 min at 150 or until springy to touch

for the filling I mixed a tub of quark with a cherry 0% fat activea and sweetener spread it on and sprinkled defrosted frozen cherries on

IT TASTED LIKE BLACK FOREST GATEAUX

Or you can use different filling or substitute the cocoa for flour (don’t forget to syn it) and add vanilla essence for a vanilla sponge

I made a choc roulade and filled with coconut flavoured quark and chopped peaches the other day so many combinations

I'm making this tonight so I'll let you know how I get on, do you have any first time tips??
Thank you!

I just made this and it's yummy! My only problem was I made it on a large cooking tray and it ended up around 1/2 cm in width so each layer was more filling than anything. Going to make it again once I've ate this batch and make it in a smaller tin so it's thicker.

I used 1 tub of quark, 1 1/2 pots cherry mullet light. Strawberrys and it was lovely.

I did it plain with some vanilla flavouring so it's SYN FREE and very yummy

Thank you once again!

ok so who loves tasty thick gravy

i do

heres how i make mine

frozen sliced mushrooms (or fresh) blitzed up to a puree with some beef or chicken stock cubes and water and some onion too if you fancy

then just reduce down to a thick gloopy gravy

i used a full pack of farmfoods frozen sliced mushrooms 2 beef stock cubes and just enough water to blend to a thick smoothie type consistency before reducing down with chopped onions and beef to make beef and onions in gravy

I'm making the smoked mackerel pate and the salsa tomorrow.................roll on tomorrow yummmmmmmm

I've found you .... Some good ideas here thanks xx

Last night I had little gem lettuce leaves stuffed with mackerel pate and this morning I had mexican poached eggs. great recipes yummmm

syn free panna cotta with raspberries

ok so i got experimenting and have made a sort of panna cotta this is my recipe

it makes 6 good sized ones i make it in wine or cocktail glasses for a wow factor

1 sachet of powdered gelatine
525 ml FULL FAT MILK (3 hex a's)
300g fat free natural yog
3-4 heaped tbsp sweetener
and whateverer flavourings you fancy (vanilla or coconut essence work well)

ok so how to make it

in a small pan put the gelatine and a little water 4-5 tbsp ish then heat on low until all gelatine dissolves (a few min)

mix in 1/4 of milk and heat for a minute pour the other milk into a bowl and slowly pour the gelatine milk mix in whisking briskly

check the temperature of the milk then add the sweetener yog and flavourings

pour into moulds or glasses and refrigerate

i use defrosted frozen raspberries as you get some juice off them and just sweetened them with a little sweetener

ok so if you make 6 its only 1/2 a hex a per dessert (YES YOU READ IT RIGHT ) 1/2 A HEX A

I panicked when I read full fat milk
but 1/2 a HEXA is brilliant
