Hello,
I'm just looking for some advice really, I don't really know who to talk to about this whos responce is 'i'm sure it'll be fine' and thought that hearing from people going through the same thing might help.
I'm 25 and had been on the pill since I was 16 (before which I had semi regular periods), I came off it 12months ago and since then I have only had one period in December, I thought maybe it was the pill 'working its way out of my system' however The Dr gave me blood test which revealed I wasn't produceing progesterone. I also had an appointment with a radiologist on Wednesday who confirmed what he saw 'was in line with the pcos the Dr suspected' but I'd need to talk with a gynagologist.
I'n the mean time i'm left with about a zillion questions buzzing arround my head. Firstly what can I do to help this?, alot of websites say to louse weight however i'm currently a healthy BMI - I could prehaps louse a few lbs's - but would this be detrimental? Also from what I can see on websites most ppl with pcos have periods more regularly than once a year, could this mean I might have problems because I haven't bled?
Also where do I go from here, alot of the websites talk about getting pregnant, but although I desperatly want to be able to have a family one day i'm currently single and so babies are not on my immediate cards. Also It seems to be a bit back to frount going on the pill to blead when i'm scared of infertility.
Sorry if this is a bit muddled, but i'm just not sure what to expect from here and I know people become experts on their conditions, would really appriciate talking to some other people who know where i'm coming from. Thank you for reading this.
Vicky xx
