other peoples ideas when struggling

#1
What does everyone do to keep on track.
I have a rucksack with the weight in i have lost and if i'm feeling an urge to raid the kitchen, i put my rucksack on and walk around the house for a bit. It stops me in my tracks, cause i think i'm not putting that back on. I also keep diary sheets of everything i eat and i am totally honest on it, when i get weighed i write on the sheet if lost, gained or maintained. When i'm struggling i follow one of my good weeks. These ideas work for me, love to know what helps you.

I visualise myself slinky and sexy on the beach with my gorgeous OH. Feeling good about myself. OR I visualise myself wearing some nice new clothes and people being well impressed by how great I look! Sad I know, but it gets me through!

I remind myself how long it took me to get this size and then remember there is no quick fix. If I cheat I start again the next day and if feeling strong I try and cut down a bit to compensate! Agree with the food diary bit too, I am honest even if it hurts!

hi, i try on my old size 30 red coat, it used to be tight, it always spurs me on and reminds me how far i've come:D

I run upstairs ( a novelty in its-self :p) and slide open my wardrobe and look at all my new clothes -all 16s and 18s and all pretty colours -then get out my old size 32 trousers (in Black- suprise) and put them on..:D
Then I go online and eye up the size 14s I aim to be soon.....

Wow! What a fab idea!

I have an old pair of jeans that are always good to try on and help me realise how far I have come and if possible I go and treat myself to something new!

I remind myself that I am in my mid twenties, and the fact that I have spent most of my twenties so far hiding from the camera and feeling self conscious about how I look, and the fact that I have set my target for June this year, because I want to first half of 2011 to be the last ever time I feel like that :D

Love those ideas!

I imagine buying new clothes, and how good I feel now after the weight I've lost so far!

wow, what great ideas. I am going to get a rucksack and fill it with the weight I have lost so far.
I have a wardrobe full of new size 14 clothes that I am dying to get into.
I have a pair of size 14 jeans I try on every few weeks, the buzz of the button and the buttonhole actually getting closer is great.soon Ill actually be able to close them....then Ill have to go out and buy a load of size 12s

I used to visualize myself thin. Lately I don't have a tangible motivation. I guess each weigh in is enough. I haven't bought clothes in smaller sizes. I'm bad at delaying gratification. I just so badly want to quit hating myself.

I simply now have to look back at what my "life" was before the weight loss, compared to the life i'm living now - and that's enough to get me back on an even keel when I struggle.

I get my size 24 trousers out and smile at my size 14 and size 16 jeans :)

I also remind myself its not been easy, and if i hadnt changed my ways i would be back to where i started.

I also have my signature to keep me on track and remind me of my fast approaching wedding!

what great ideas! I have a photo of myself and my sister taken in 2006 when I had lost weight before - and even if I do say so myself - I look pretty foxy, I did it once, and I can do it again (and this WILL BE the last time)

I look at a photo I have pinned up in my study that was taken 2 weeks before I joined SW!!! I actually only seen the photo in December when I was already 3 stone lighter but I was disgusted in myself when i seen it so I just have a quick look at that ... it keeps me on the straight and narrow x

I remember all those years before when I was at my target weight , I put on a pair of size 12 levis and felt like the hottest thing on the planet ( i can assure you I wasn't but I felt like it ) remembering that feeling makes me want to get to target and feel that great again but for good this time!

Hi if i'm struggling here and now like i was 15 minutes ago then my 7yr old daughter brushes my hair as i lay on the sofa.

I also go on the sw website and in the coffee break section theres some great games this takes up some time and distracts me.
