Extra Easy PCOS

Hi, thanks for the replies :) Really appreciate your support.
I've actually lost a bit more than what my stats say but ive still got 49lbs to lose!

I still go to group every week, without fail. My mums a consultant so I've got no excuse at all!

I really struggle with the food side of things because im such a fussy eater.. I know that I need to increase my super free foods but I genuinely don't like veg and I've got such a sweet tooth. I do stick to plan and make a food plan for the week after class.

I'm on metformin tablets which are meant to help me with my weight loss so the consultant said but I dont know?

Thanks <3 xxx

You sound like me, i hate veg too. I got put on the pill for my PCOS not metformin. I hate the pill though, it gives me depressive moods at random times, thats why i'm losing weight cos doc said she would take me off the pill see if my body could sustain itself when i'm within BMI.

Surfhunny to answer your question, everyone gets different symptoms. Some people get heavy period, terrible pains, some get no periods but pains, I had no pain or anything only indication of any problem was that I wasn't getting periods. Get your doctor to send you for an ultrasound, that will tell you if its PCOS or not.

Thanks Ally, I know I don't have PCOS, my periods are regular as clockwork, my only difficulty in losing weight is my lack of willpower and i have no other symptoms at all apart from pain before and after my period, I was wondering about Pelvic Congestion Syndrome PCS that Latte and Lisa C were talking about. I know it's a bit of a liberty asking about it on a PCOS thread.

To be honest I'm not even sure if the symptoms of PCS, only because I'd never heard of it when I found out but I was diagnosed with all 3 at the same time. I imagine symptoms for all of them are similar, a lot of people experience some symptoms but don't actually have anything wrong, it's just pain & the things that go along with it when it comes to periods. If you are worried, I'd see you dr. I don't think they'd be able to tell you straight away but they should refer you on. I was 18 & had to really push to be referred on, I then had internal scans, not nice :( but I couldn't cope with the pain anymore.*

Do some research on PCS & it may tell you slightly different symptoms to look for which you'll know whether or not you can relate to.
