Hi everyone and seasons greetings to you all,
Since our mammoth year this year whereby my wife and I have lost over 21 stone between us on Cambridge we have this week been asked by CD if we would be interested in telling our story to a press agency. Yesterday a journalist interwiewed us both for about 3/4 hour each and then we had some fun with a photoshoot. The best part for me was when me and my wife were able to fit into my old jeans that I was only wearing at the begining of this calendar year, One leg each and still able to do them up!! then we put on one of my old work shirts or should I call it a ships sail!! it was huge! we put one arm in each and the other around each others waist and there we were stood on the drive outside my house both of us comfortably in one set of my old clothes! (we were stood outside on the drive as they wanted to take the photos outdoors... it was freezing!!)
It made me very proud of what we have both achieved this year, it was the icing on the cake after winning slimmer of the year runner up then this, Hopefully the story will appear in a paper or magazine in the new year. I will let you all know when I find out. I am so pleased with the diet I would love to return the favour by inspiring many others.
I have today started a fortnight of letting myself indulge for the festive period. I kicked it off with a Christmas party buffet at work. I have decided that I want to enjoy a few naughties for this period however in 2 weeks time I will return to my strict calorie controlled "way of life". I am going to continue with my marathon training during the festive period which at the moment consists of about 25 miles per week running 4 mornings out of 7 which should keep a few of those excess calories at bay!!
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas those of you who have been on here as long & longer than me and all those new people that seem to be appearing on here all the time. This diet works, it is amazing stick with it, drink plenty of water and reap the rewards. I am sure that this forum will be full of newbies in January, hopefully many of them will be committed enough to see their journeys through to reap the rewards. I certainly am!!
Best wishes
