    is there any way i ca have a slimming world style pizza?? this is one thing i crave and i feel a bit deprived! but the syn value just isnt worth it (coz even half a pizza is lame, id need the whole lot!!) and even if you make your own pizza the bases are still high syn value... any ideas????

    You are in the eating out forum - if you are asking about getting a SW friendly pizza from a takeaway or restaurant, i think the answer is pretty much there isnt one - even the ones that are advertised as lower cal in pizza express are still pretty high in syns.

    You could use the search function and look in the recipe threads for ways to do your own - there's a sticky thread in the recipe forum for a pizza made with a Smash/instant mash base (some love it, I'm not so keen) There's also a recipe somewhere for a pizza made with Tesco wholemeal bread mix (which someone got verified by SW could be taken as a HEB choice) -again try searching on pizza in the recipe forum and it should come up (think the thread was called something like "i got my very own healthy extra B approved by slimming world).

    There's also a SW recipe for "pizza base chicken" but thats pretty much using a chicken breast as a base and sticking passata/tomato and grated cheese on top - a pretty lame substitute in my book!

    In short though, pizza is one of the most difficult things to do as a healthy SW version - I used to eat an entire 12 inch pizza myself - that now works out somewhere around my entire WEEKLY syns allowance!!

    I miss pizza!

    Best way I find is to make it using a wholemeal pitta bread with home made tom sauce and reduced fat cheese then your topping choice
