Porridge pancakes!

Well this morning I tried the much talked about porridge pancakes, and dare I say it??? They actually tasted very nice. I topped mine off with raspberries and vanilla fat free yogurt and am now as full as a bandit's rifle. Yummy.

Mix 35g of porridge oats with a pot of mullerlite yogurt - I used vanilla. Soak them in the fridge overnight. Then add 2 eggs and a couple of tablespoons of sweetner.Cook in a frylited frying pan. x

They are yummy & I make mine last 2 breakfasts, topped with mixed berries.....half of a HEXb. So, had half yesterday & just had 1 Alpen bar to make the full HEX

Yeah, it made 3 huge fat pancakes and could have made more but I was so full. I love pancakes and will certainly be trying these again x

The full mixture (i used 3 eggs) made 12 pancakes (scotch pancake size) - they can be made ahead of time & re-heated.
My oh is on sw too & takes 6 to work for breakfast (1/2 HEX B)

Do they taste eggy? I hate the taste of eggs, so have to avoid a lot of these fab ideas.

@Revsi: I don't normally like eggy taste either, so my solution is to add a couple of drops of vanilla essence in beaten eggs before I add them to any recipes. This seems to work for me.

I prefer them if i mix in a smaller yogurt in the morning, and don't soak them over night, i fry them in the metal egg rings and use a low heat and cook for a while so there not 'soggy' they then have more of a ancake texture! x

instead of soaking in yogurt (not really an option for me) could I soak the oats in some of my hea of "special" milk? 'cos that'd be awesome.
