2 young Irish teenagers are this week celebrating the fact that they have just been selected to go into the run off stages of the red bull rookies moto gp competition for 2007.........

Andrew Murphy is the current leader of the NDM Aprillia challenge closely followed by Cody Nally, both riders put themselves forward for selection in the red bull rookies program.Over 1000 applicants from all over the world applied and only 200 were chosen to go into the run off stages in Spain. Both riders have been clawing thier way thru the 125 championship cup in Ireland and the recognition of thier progress has been noted in both Irish and European circles.

Both Cody and Andrew will soon be making thier way to Spain to compete with riders from all over the world, on the first day ..100 out of the 200 will ride an be evaluated, on the 2nd day the next 100 will ride, out of the 200,then 100 will be picked to ride on the 3rd day, which then 20 riders will be chosen out of that 100.Those chosen 20 will then live in Spain fully financed by Red Bull and will be mentored by Alberto Puig.

Alberto Puig is a major force in the Moto GP circuit, he has mentored riders of the calibre of Danny Petrosa and Casey Stoner.

For those who dont know, Danny and Casey are chasing the Moto GP championship title. For those who dont know what Moto GP is, it is the pinnacle of 2 wheeled motor sport.

I'll be updating later on the boys progress however you can read more about it at www.redbullrookies.com

So...Good luck to both the boys in Spain!!!!!!!:D
....Keep 'er lit....
