Query re going over daily syn allowance?

    I joined SW this evening and we were told you can have between 5-15 syns daily.
    What do you do if you go over the daily syn allowance?

    If it's only 1 or 2 & it's a one off I either don't worry about it or I might cut back slightly the next day. Depends on if I have been to the gym or not.

    I generally go to the gym 3-4 times per week. So if I went to the gym on a Saturday and then out on a Saturday night .... How many syns can be used on alcohol? Is there a guideline for x mins of exercise allows you to go over by x syns? I wouldnt be doing it too often...

    You can officially use as many syns as you want on alcohol! Some people save them for the weekend, some people use flexible syns :)
    No amount of exercise will 'allow' you to go over your syns! I know that Ww grant extra points for exercise but that is because you can take on extra calories, whereas with SW there is so much free food available you don't or rather SHOULDN'T need extra syns! HTH :) x

    You get your daily syn allowance and the aim is to not go over that limit. You can choose to use them weekly if you want which gives you flexibility to have more one day by cutting back on another. This is not strictly recommended by SW as it can lead to binging but many people do it and it works well for them.

    Your syns can be used for whatever you want so there is no limit on how many you cn use for alcohol. That said it's probably not a good idea to use them all for this as alcohol has been shown to affect losses.

    Also you don't get more syns because you exercise. Exercising is great for you so I would absolutely carry on with that but don't use it as an excuse for have more syns.
