Hi everyone!!

Sorry about the urgency of this but I would really like to know if exercising hinders the number on the scales or not on TFR,

Please reply from experience ONLY I already know muscle weights calorie consumptions basic metabolic rates and so on and so forth, has anyone tried any Cardio and how has it made a difference?

Thank you so much to the super star that comes back with a straight answer :)!

peace and love x

Hiya - I joined the gym around a month ago, and mainly do cardio stuff (40 mins x 3 times a week).

I have to say, I'm starting to think, yes, it does have a negative affect on my weight loss - it seems to have slowed down, and I've still got 2.5 stone to go!!
This week, I've decided not to go, and see if it makes any difference....will report back!

I would rather be fit than thin and not.......I have been exercising like a crazy woman since starting this diet......walking 8km in the morning before work and a spin class of 50mins at lunch, next week I'm going to cut back a bit on the cardio and add in more weight training, week 1 = 14lbs, week 2 = 8lbs......personally I think exercise helps. Logically we are on this TFR diet to use up more calories than we need therefore our body burns our excess fat as fuel.....exercise can only speed that process up....xx

Guys thank you both so much you've both got eeally valid points there, my main concern is my excess weight, id like to tone and build stamina when I'm realistically slimmer as I don't want to bulk out if you know what I mean this is why I'm asking,

Dunder doodles!! Keep me updated and I hope you do well! Regardless of how you so it I bet you feel fab :)

Dublin20girl, they're still brilliant losses well done and I know what you mean, I've never been a weights girl but I don't mind cross training treadmills etc which I have at home ! xx

Glad this question was asked as I was wondering about exercise on this diet. I read/heard that you shouldn't start for 2 weeks if you weren't exercising prior to starting. Anyone else come across that? I'm in the middle of week 2 and definitely feeling the energy surge but not wanting to do too much yet.

I'm on week 5 or 6 I can't even remember LOL but yeah me too! So much equipment at home and my body is now at the point where cardio/toning may make a visual difference ! Too obsessed with the numbers on the scales though :(

Hi hun,
you won't bulk up. Women aren't capable of simply bulking up because we don't have enough testosterone. You'd have to do some specialised lifting and food etc to bulk up. I have PCOS and still don't have enough. It was a major worry to me but I've been lifting regularly for a little while (want to boost it with LT. Already gone from 18st to 14st10lbs on diet and exercise) and I have got leaner, better posture and just feel stronger.

All the best!! x

Back when I did lipotrim two years back, I lost a large amount in my first week and then struggled to lose more than 2 or three pounds a week, until I joined the gym! I was in the gym four times a week in my last two weeks on lipotrim and I lost 6lbs and then 7lbs! So I would definitely recommend exercise, but for every hour of exercise you do it is recommended you replace an extra litre of water =]

I'm going to exercise this week see how much I lose
