I reckon that's a misprint and it should be a clove of garlic, but if you're feeling brave then go for it! lol

I dont think i like the sound of that lol... I might just stick 1 or 2 cloves in :)

It's fine to use a bulb - you only get that strong garlic taste when you chop or crush the cloves. There is a recipe that on Food Network that uses 3 bulbs or 40 cloves. Actually roast garlic is great where you bake the bulb and you can spread the garlic on bread straight from the bulb. It taste lovely and sweet, not overpowering at all.
