oo good, i do love cinimon even if i can't spell it.

    the recipe is
    57g/2oz pudding rice
    1pt water
    284ml/1/2pnt semi skimmed milk
    3 tbsp sweetener
    pinch of nutmeg

Preheat oven to gas mark 3/ 160, add rice and water to ovenproof dish , stir and bake for 45mjns.
Remove from oven, drain rice. add rice back to the dish add milk, sweetner and sprinkle with nutmeg, return to the oven for 30 mins.

    serves 2
    3.5syns on green
    8.5 on red

Do you think adding some vanilla to the milk would be nice?

You could add an options to the rice pudding i make mine on the Hob

    Easy Syn Free Rice Pudding

    Free On Green
(If using skimmed milk as a HEa)

    Ingredients

    50g Pudding Rice
    30g Sweetener
    550 ml Skimmed Milk
*350ml is a HEa you could syn the remaining or add water to make up to 550ml if you dont want to use both your HEa
Good Pinch of Nutmeg (or to taste)

    Method

In to a pan empty the rice, sweetener and milk and a good pinch of nutmeg
Bring to the boil, stirring all the time ( this is important or it will stick)
When boiling, reduce the heat to a gentle simmer until most of the liquid is absorbed ( keep stiring often)
When you reach your desired consistency usually about 20 mins + serve and enjoy your rice pudding.

Has anyone tried this with 0% fromage or quark mixed with water instead of milk... wouldn't that be free then? On a green day instead of using your milk allowance... just a thought?

Tried the recipe for rice pudding but it was too sweet and I only used half the sweetener. Did I do something wrong?
