Hey guys!

Well despite everyone making comments about rollerblading like "Oooh be careful it's so dangerous" etc I'm taking up rollerblading I think! :D I've been out a few times and Really enjoyed it, especially after I watched videos on how to do stuff like crossover turns, jumps and backwards. Also found out about this whole massive rollerblading scene around hyde park: amazing!! Friday night skate, sunday roller stroll, saturday practice. Sound such fun!!! Ooh and as a bonus, good exercise too.

Anyone else into rollerblading?

that does sound fun, but recently went to do ice skating and wasnt too good at it this time, although i was thinking about getting my own skates and maybe even have lessons, athough maybe i could try and practice on roller blades lol

Hey i bought roller baldes off the net, but i am too frightened to go down hills so they are just sitting in my car! :( Will try to get the courage to go out in them tomorrow.

Thats what i want to do take my dog rossi out roller blading! Will pluck up the courage soon!

claire, is there anywhere flat that you can practice stopping. Once you've got the hang of being able to stop (without using the nearest wall!), going downhill is fine.

I don't rollerblade, but rollerskate instead! I need to quad style to make me feel comfortable :)

We go to Rollerworld twice a week most weeks. The kids are getting really good now, as is my hubby. It's great fun :) xx

Rollerblading! it's been so long since I last went rollerblading..so much fun! Perhaps I will have to try it again. x

I brought some rollerblades last year and was intending to get some private/group beginner lessons so I could use them, but one year on and I've still not used them! So annoying as the weathers been great this summer too and it's now nearly over! :(

oh well, always next year :p

I used to rollerskate as a kid, (never got on with rollerblades) been meaning to look into this for a couple months now. May go look at some prices of skates on the weekend.

Do many shops do rollerskates still? I sure hope so...

Me and a friend go roller blading it's great fun but we are still only beginners, not quite got the hang of stopping yet without an obstacle to use lol. Will hopefully get to go a bit more now it's summer here
