salty taste?

Hi all,

Well thankfully today i feel sooooo much better that yesterday. But i have a really salty taste in my mouth, its awful and making me so thirsty.

Has anyone else had this?

I haven't been too bad with that this time round but the first time I did CD I occasionally had a packet of sugar free polos around. I didn't eat them but I put one in my mouth, had a quick suck of it and then put it in the bin when I felt I needed to get rid of it and couldn't face any more water.
This time round I am just having water, water and more water!
I hope you find a way to deal with it.

Hi all!

There are a few possible explanations for your salty taste problem. This kind of condition is called Phantom taste. I’ll try to name some possible reasons.
The chemical composition of saliva may change in response to hydration. If this is the case, you could relieve your problem by taking more fluid and dilute it.
You could also be experiencing some sinus problems.
Sinusitis, for example, can cause bad breath and a foul taste in one's mouth.
Tears are also very salty,
the tear ducts drain into the nasal cavity and once tears enter the nasal cavity, they drain down the back of the throat.
It can be numerous reasons that can lead to your problem.
