I've never been overweight before, but have failed to lose the 6 stone I gained during my last pregnancy, where I also ended up in a wheelchair and almost completely immobile due to issues with my pelvis and spine.
I am in daily pain with severely restricted mobility, the best possible thing I can do to aid my recovery is lose weight! I've been on and off paleo and/or Atkins for the past two years and failing miserably so am joining Slimming World on Monday. I have never tried a slimming club before but it seems to be a relatively flexible way of eating... and with the moral support and weekly weigh ins, I stand a better chance of success!
I have two wonderful kids and desperately want to be able to run after them, pain free and be the active person I have always been. Even just being able to keep on top of the housework would be awesome!
I have an amazing husband, who will be supporting me 100% I do yoga every day to strengthen my back and core musles but even those moves are limited because of my back issues so would love to be able to increase the range of yoga and add other activities and exercise too. At the moment I have some herniated discs so once they have healed, and i've shifted some weight, i'm looking forward to some dance classes and longs walks with my stupid fluff ball of a dulux dog!
