Slimming World by referral

Hi everyone

Has anyone here been referred to Slimming World by their doctor? Is it something that you can just go in and ask for, or does it have to be recommended by the doctor after other routes are investigated?

i was told about this last year when my dd2 was a baby. sadly the day before i asked it was taken away from our councils budget.

from what i gather you can pretty much just ask and just plead your case and then its up to the dr. always worth asking!

I opened the centre where SW was being held & after talking to the Consultant, went to the Doctor who gave me a 12 week package. It saved my life!

I asked my dr but they hadn't heard of it and it doesn't seem to be done in my area
