Hi everyone. I have been to the drs this afternoon. Told her that I am at my witts end and need proper help to shift this weight. Have tried everything and keep failing ( my own fault ) After a good chat and weighing and measuring she has prescribed me orlistat. I cannot tell you how happy I am. I had a good idea about how many cals to start on after a chat a while ago on the calorie forum. So hopefully I can get to know you all in the future. Will start my diary on sunday. Hello Cath and welcome! I started taking Orlistat three years ago, and took it for a couple of years. Most people's experience, mine included, seems to be that it doesn't really make you lose much more than you normally would, but it does help keep you on the straight and narrow, lol. I've lost 10.5 stone to date, so can't complain. Good luck! xx
