Hello all, I've been lurking on these boards for years and tried most diets out there. I think I enjoyed the Unit Diet best of all and as I've just received their updated book I'm going to give it my all tomorrow.

I have a long way to go and have managed to put on 7 stone in the past 5 years due to a pregnancy and bad depression. It's now ruining my life and I've GOT to do something about it instead of thinking about it.

Would really appreciate any support, hope to chat soon.

Julie x

Hi Julie,

Good luck, hope it goes really well for you. I'm not familiar with the unit diet and not sure how it works. BUt you've tried it before and it suits you, so go for it. You got that hard part out the way already of finding a plan to suit you.

Keep us posted x

Thank you guys, well first couple of days not going bad, although I have rice crispies coming out of my ears! I'm allowed 12 units which seems so much food. Think I might be able to stick to this.

Hi Stirky, well some cereal is completely free food and others very low in units. Bread, rice, pasta is very low. Fruit & veg, skimmed milk, low fat yoghurt, low fat cottage cheese and potatoes are also free. I feel I'm eating too much cereal at the moment though.

Well done on your progress too.

Hi Julie,

Wishing you all the best in your journey. You can do it. I have put on about 8st! Through pregnancy mainly and then just not having the drive to get it off.

Good luck. Lets spur each other on

Hello, just an quick update from me. First weigh in tomorrow and I think I've done qutie well. I'm not sure whether I'm going to carry on with this or change over to Weightwatchers or Calorie Counting. Either way I've got my head in the right place and am sticking to a diet for once.

Julie x

PS. God I wish Coco Pops were free, I'd be in heaven :)

Well done Julie, glad you've been getting on well. If you're thinking of changing why don't you come over to juddd with the rest of us here? :D

Changing to Weightwatchers

Hi all, well have managed to lose 7 pounds on The Unit Diet but I find myself bingeing on the free cereal allowance and yoghurts. I think I want to move over to Weightwatchers now and hopefully stay more in control. Am joining a local class in the morning. Good luck with your journeys.
